Pine River churches to stage 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever'

Cast members from four Pine River churches will perform “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at The Warehouse in Pine River.

Cast members are from Riverview Church, First Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Faith Assembly of God Church.

Suggested donation for tickets is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Proceeds will go to the Community Compassion Fund.

The play is based on the book of the same title by Barbara Robinson. It was made into a movie in the 1980s starring Loretta Swit.

Last year, Riverview Church parishioners performed the play, setting the production in the 1950s. This year, Riverview encouraged other area churches to participate, and the production will be set in the 1980s.
