Today's Men: Caring for Ourselves

The Center, formerly The Lakes Area Senior Center, in partnership with Essentia Health is hosting Today’s Men, an event focused on men from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at The Center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.

This free evening includes education, activities, knowledge sharing and “man” food.

Essentia Health medical experts from the community will share the latest information and dialog on joint and prostrate health, providing an opportunity for men to deepen their knowledge about these topics and treatment options.

There will also be short breakout activities to choose from, including:

• Learn golf swing techniques from a golf expert from the Legacy Courses at Cragun’s Chris Foley.

• Put your creativity to work brewing beer with Brewmaster Patrick Sunberg, owner of Jack Pine Brewery.

• Increase your catch this winter with ice fishing secrets from a fishing industry innovator.

• Experience the beauty of wood carving with Dale Roberts, The Center’s Carving Group.

Top off your evening with chicken wings, popcorn, and more.

For more information about this free event for all generations of men and to register, call the Center at 218-829-9345.
