Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division offers Zostavax (shingles) vaccine on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division office on Laurel Street in Brainerd.


Shingles is a painful skin rash, often with blisters. It is also called Herpes Zoster or just Zoster. The shingles vaccine called Zostavax is recommended for adults age 60 and older.

Immunizations are also offered the second and fourth Tuesday of the month to people who are uninsured or underinsured. For children 18 years and younger the cost is $5 per shot and for adults 19 years or older the cost is $10 per shot. No one is turned away for inability to pay.

A parent or legal guardian with an immunization record must accompany each child under age 18.
