Pine River-Backus partnership shines

Kinship Partners honors Bob and Mary Jo Litke and Dillon Tilbury, Backus and Pine River, as its newest Match of the Month.

For two years the Litkes have been delighted to watch the sparkle in Dillon’s eyes as they share time, especially outdoor activities and playing games.

Dillon is always up for new adventures but knows that school is valuable and does his homework first when they get together. In the winter they enjoy snowshoeing, skiing and ice fishing. Summer brings lake activities and Dillon’s favorite is fishing.

“We go out on their lake and to Bob’s favorite spot,” said Dillon.

Although its location is a secret, he reports catching a 16 1/2-inch bass.

The Litkes and Dillon also team up in the kitchen. Dillon loves using recipes for soups, stews, cookies and pizza making. They call their partnership with Dillon “an extended blessing.” He is close in age to their grandson and they enjoy time together, as well.

Ordinary people, doing ordinary activities, with extraordinary results. It’s all about the time spent – laughing, talking, joking, learning – that makes this friendship shine.
