The race was part of Crosslake’s 40th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration, and despite the unseasonably cold temperatures, 138 people participated.

Justin Grunewald of Minneapolis, a 2004 Brainerd High School graduate, took first place overall with a time of 15:47, which put him at a pace of just more than five minutes per mile.

Grunewald bested the nearest competitor by more than a minute. Julie Berg of Ironton was the top female finisher with a time of 21:50.
