Beans are a time-honored tradition in Pequot Lakes
As is tradition, a continuous long line of people snaked its way through Trailside Park in Pequot Lakes on Wednesday afternoon, July 10, for free beans.
Not just any beans, of course. These top secret-recipe beans were baked underground overnight in the park in giant cast iron kettles.
Not just any cast iron kettles. These 35- to 40-gallon kettles have names — Baby Olga, Big Bertha, Ole, Lena and Sven.
