Crow Wing River Watershed photo contest under way

As part of education events within the Crow Wing River Watershed, citizens are invited to participate in a photo contest, capturing the diverse mixture of natural resources visible with the watershed as well as the role watersheds play in our daily lives.

A watershed is the area of land where all of the water that drains off it goes into the same place. A watershed carries water “shed” from the land into soils, groundwater and streams, making its way to downstream rivers, lakes and eventually to the sea.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
