Deep snow makes for interesting Easter egg hunts

Annual Easter egg hunts in the lakes area were made more interesting Saturday, March 30, because of the deep snow still covering the ground.

One hunt, in Emily, was canceled this year because of snow.

Others, in Crosslake and Pine River, were moved to different locations. An Easter Bunny handed out treats at Crosslake Town Square when snow prevented children from their annual hunt at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park. The Whitefish Area Lions sponsor that hunt.
