Burgwald's watercolors on display at Crosslake Library

The Crosslake Art Club has an exhibition of 20 watercolor paintings by Cecelia Burgwald on display at the Crosslake Community Library.

The exhibition featuring colorful, fresh watercolors with a variety of subject matter, will be on display through the end of July.

Burgwald is a retired teacher living in the Deerwood area. She minored in art in college and is enjoying learning about watercolor. She recently took up pastels and said, “It is never too late to take up a dream.”

Crosslake Art Club members also display artwork at other local venues, including the Crosslake Community Center, Breezy Point City Hall and Crosslake City Hall. Crosslake Art Club members with paintings currently on display include Karen Cheney, Martha Davidge, Carol Engebrit, Phyllis Frankum, Bill Grange, Joan Hallada, Pam Lillehei, Ramona Martin, Yolanda Martini, Barb Neihart and Diane Runberg.

The Crosslake Art Club is a group of more than 50 artists who meet at 1 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the Crosslake Community Center. The club’s annual art show will be held Aug. 8-10 at the Crosslake Community Center.
