Comedian Mary Mack to perform Jan. 18 in Pequot Lakes

The Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts (GLAPA) season features comedy performer Mary Mack at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium.

Mack is a folk humorist who spends half of her time convincing her Minnesota mother it is OK for her daughter to be a comedian and the other half touring the country in her sweet, $400 Dodge Neon, affectionately referred to as “Sweet Heat.”

Mack’s endearing, slightly quirky stage presence and musical surprises make her popular with a wide range of people. With her mandolin in hand and off kilter stories of life as a former polka band leader, music teacher and all-around confused individual, Mack delivers a performance that is sure to make you laugh.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (ages 60 and older) and $8 for youth (ages 18 and younger).

To reserve tickets, call the Pequot Lakes Community Education office at 218-568-9200. Tickets will be sold at the door, too, beginning one hour before the performance. Seating is first-come, first seated.
