Claudia Schmidt with Dean Magraw to perform Friday in Pequot Lakes

Claudia Schmidt with Dean Magraw will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium in the first show of the Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts 2013-14 season.

For almost four decades Schmidt has been exploring the nuances of acoustic music with her voice, 12-string guitar and mountain dulcimer with a collection of original, traditional and contemporary music. She has been featured on “A Prairie Home Companion,” and in a KTCA-TV documentary in St. Paul titled, ”I Sing Because I Can’t Fly.”

Composer and guitarist Magraw has performed and recorded solo, with numerous regional ensembles and on projects with international notables.

Call 218-568-9200 to reserve tickets or buy tickets at the door starting one hour before the show. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (age 60 and older) and $8 for youth (age 18 and younger).
