Lakes Area Artists art show, sale slated July 10-13

The Lakes Area Artists Fine Art Show and Sale will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, July 10-13, at the Live Well at the Journey Church in downtown Nisswa.

Ten members of the Lakes Area Artists, a group of Brainerd lakes artists who exhibit their work together yearly, plus a guest artist will sell their works. They are Phyllis Frankum, Bill Grange, Kathy Kovala, Sonja Larsen, Madonna Maves, Sharon Peterson, David Rickert, Diane Runberg, Cyrus Swann, Maria Thompson Seep and guest artist Steven Weagel.

Original oils, watercolors, acrylics, monotypes, nature prints, giglee prints, pottery, mixed media, glass, cards and more will be available for purchase.

Small artworks by participating artists will be given away as door prizes daily.

The public is invited to observe an artist at work during art demonstrations scheduled each day:

Wednesday, July 10: 11 a.m., Larsen; 1 p.m., Maves; 3 p.m., Grange.

Thursday, July 11: 11 a.m., Peterson; 1 p.m., Grange; 3 p.m., Swann.

Friday, July 12: 11 a.m., Larsen; 1 p.m., Frankum; 3 p.m., Peterson.

Saturday, July 13: 11 a.m., Rickert; 1 p.m., Larsen; 3 p.m., Rickert.

Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
