Nisswa Women's Club fashion show for scholarships to be held May 28

On Tuesday, May 28, the Nisswa Women’s Club will present its 30th annual Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Town Hall conference center at Madden’s on Gull Resort.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a silent auction and social hour followed by the luncheon at noon, and conclude with the fashion show and announcement of raffle ticket winners.

The fashion show and luncheon is the main fundraiser for the Nisswa Women’s Club Scholarship Program.

This year the fashion show/luncheon décor will feature the theme Lakes Area Style. Nisswa Women’s Club members will model spring and summer fashions provided by area shops. Local radio personalities Ken Thomas and Tess Taylor will emcee the event.

Tickets for the fashion show/luncheon are $35 each or $350 for a table of 10. Additional fundraising for scholarships is done through the silent auction held during the event. Anyone who would like to participate in the silent auction only can do so from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Those who would like to contribute to the scholarship program can purchase raffle tickets, which will be drawn at the fashion show for prizes donated by area businesses that support the fundraising efforts. Raffle prizewinners need not be present to win, and the raffle grand prize is a white-gold green quartz diamond halo style ring with a matching necklace from Merritt Jewelers, Pequot Lakes.

For raffle tickets, contact Dolly Zitur at 218-829-1233.
