Storytelling through paintings planned April 9 in Crosby

Robert Hughes Perrizo, artist and narrator, will present an earlier time in our region through his evocative paintings and storytelling, portraying the lives of important Ojibwa, Dakota, explorers and voyageurs who lived in the central lakes region of Minnesota.

This Unlimited Learning program will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Heartwood Senior Living Center in Crosby.

He had a gallery show at Madden’s Resort last summer (“Dakota Dreamscape: Art Show Retrospective”) and is currently formatting his lifelong research and documentation into a series of paintings that will appear in his new book “Rendezvous of the Voyageurs.”

Perrizo brings an eclectic background to his oil paintings as an artist, journalist, historian, sportswriter and public relations professional.
