Legacy Chorale to host fundraiser breakfast Feb. 23 in Nisswa

The Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota will hold a Winter Waffle Breakfast and Bake Sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa.

Dad’s Belgian Waffles, St. Cloud, will provide the food for the breakfast; the menu includes giant, made-from-scratch, malted Belgian waffles served hot off the iron, sausages, nine flavors of syrup and fresh whipped cream, and juice, milk or coffee.

Baked goods from chorale members will be for sale.

Prices for the fundraiser are $8 for ages 13 and older, $5 for children 5-12 and free for children younger than 5.

Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the breakfast, or in advance from chorale members, at the Brainerd Dispatch or at Bethany Bookstore in Baxter.

The Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota, now in its 11th season, is a nonprofit arts organization led by artistic director Sarah Aamot. There are currently 58 singers in the chorale, representing 16 area communities: Aitkin, Baxter, Brainerd, Breezy Point, Crosslake, Crosby, Deerwood, East Gull Lake, Garrison, Hackensack, Ironton, Little Falls, Merrifield, Nisswa, Pequot Lakes and Pillager.
