Heartland Symphony Orchestra to present a 'Christmas Fantasy'

Heartland Symphony Orchestra will present a “Christmas Fantasy,” featuring holiday favorites for the whole family, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Charles Martin Auditorium in Little Falls and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd.

Experience the world premiere dance interpretation of Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Christmas Eve Suite” by the Music General Dancers. In addition, enjoy Brainerd’s Bill Satre narrating a musical arrangement of the famous poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

Other pieces on the program include Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” Linday Pulwar’s “Canadian Brass Christmas,” J.S. Pierpont’s “Tintinnabulations,” and join a sing-along during George Frideric Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.”

Heartland Symphony concert tickets are available in Little Falls at Bookin’ It, Great River Arts Center and Little Falls Radio; in Brainerd at the Brainerd Dispatch and Bridge of Harmony. Tickets are also available at the door for all HSO concerts.

Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and free for all youth through high school.
