Tigers season ends with loss to Menahga

Email

Triston Rubner went 2-3 including a home run and two RBI for the ninth-seeded Pine River-Backus baseball team, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers lost 7-2 in a North Subsection 6A play-in game against the eighth-seeded Menahga Braves on Tuesday, May 27, at New York Mills.

“This game went just like the rest of our season has gone”, said PR-B coach Steve Snavely, “We don’t have many hits, and then we give up one big inning to the other team.”
