Science columnist to speak at Fifty Lakes Foundation meeting
Terry Mejdrich, a science columnist for the Grand Rapids Herald Review, will speak about the collapse of the bee population at the Fifty Lakes Foundation meeting at 7 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the foundation clubhouse.
There is a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Guests are welcome.
Mejdrich will explain why the loss of honey bees would be a catastrophe, and what we can do about it.
Mejdrich is a lifelong resident of northern Minnesota. He graduated from Bemidji State University with math and earth/space science degrees. He has been a teacher lumberjack, sawmill operator and a writer, having written and published five books.
The Fifty Lakes clubhouse is located at 40554 South Eagle Lake Road (northeast corner of Crow Wing County Road 1 and County Road 3 intersection in Fifty Lakes).
