School supply drive expands

The Pine River State Bank concluded their 2014 School Supply Drive and brought in over $1,800 in donations and supplies to be divided among four schools. This ammounted to 45 backpacks filled with supplies and an additional $500 worth of loose supplies. For the second year, Pine River State Bank has helped to gather school supplies for families who need help.

Thanks to donations from local businesses and individuals, Pine River State Bank raised more than $1,800 in donations and school supplies. The donations helped fill 45 backpacks with supplies in addition to $500 worth of loose supplies.

The bank expanded this year's donations to include more schools: Pine River-Backus, Pillager, Remer and Crosby-Ironton. In 2013, the bank raised approximately $700 for Pine River-Backus and Pillager schools.
