Breezy Point police
ARREST: Report on Aug. 3 at 4:22 p.m. of a domestic assault arrest. A 29-year-old female was arrested for assaulting a peace officer and obstructing with force.
INJURY: Report on Aug. 2 at 10:17 p.m. of an injury on Airport Road. A resort shuttle braked suddenly to avoid another vehicle in the Commander parking lot and a 6-year-old sustained a head laceration.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: Report on July 31 at 8:24 a.m. of damage to a mailbox on Ski Chalet Drive. Subject reported someone exploded a firecracker inside, and the officer observed remnants of a Black Cat bottle rocket.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Report on July 28 at 7:02 p.m. of suspicious activity on Wildwood Lane. Subject reported a lawn mower had been tampered with and a deer skull with antlers was found hanging from a tree in the back yard.
THEFT: Report on Aug. 2 at 4:30 p.m. of a theft from Zorbaz on Cross Lake. A banner was taken and recovered by police about a block away.
Crow Wing County sheriff
ANIMALS: Report on Aug. 3 at 7:23 a.m. of an animal complaint on Duck Lake Trail in Pequot Lakes. Subject reported a rooster waking them up every morning.
ARRESTS: Report on Aug. 2 at 6:13 p.m. of a personal injury watercraft crash resulting in an arrest on Sunset Shores in Pine River.
Report on Aug. 4 at 10:42 p.m. of an arrest on Green Acres Trail in Merrifield. A 56-year-old man was arrested for domestic assault, fifth degree drug possession and an uncased firearm.
BURGLARIES: Report on July 29 at 2:01 p.m. of a burglary on County Road 56 in Pine River.
Report on Aug. 2 at 11:28 p.m. of a burglary on County Road 106 in Emily. Subject reported a neighbor’s shed was broken into.
CRASH: Report on Aug. 4 at 7:38 p.m. of a property damage crash on County Road 1 in Emily.
FIRE: Report on Aug. 3 at 10:09 p.m. of a motorcycle on fire on Northgate Lane in Crosslake.
Cass County sheriff
ANIMALS: Report on July 26 at 9:37 p.m. of an animal bite on 12th Avenue Northwest in Backus. A 10-year-old was bit by a dog, but was not transported.
BURGLARY: Report on July 30 at 7:51 a.m. of a burglary on Green Gables Road in East Gull Lake. Tools were taken from a home being built.
CRASHES: Report on July 28 at 7:50 a.m. of a property damage crash on 32nd Avenue Southwest in Backus.
Report on July 31 at 6:49 p.m. of a personal injury crash by the fairgrounds in Pine River.
Report on Aug. 1 at 6:36 p.m. of a jet ski crash on Gull Lake. Two jet skis crashed into one another, and the drivers were cited for not wearing life jackets.
FIRES: Report on July 27 at 9:55 p.m. of a fire at a business on State Highway 371 in Backus.
Report on July 30 at 9:39 p.m. of a garage fire on State Highway 87 Northwest in Backus. The fire was small and appeared suspicious so the fire marshal was contacted.
THEFTS: Report on July 26 at 9:43 a.m. of a theft on Foxtail Lane Southwest in Backus. A license plate was reported stolen off of a vehicle.
Report on July 27 at 9:31 a.m. of a theft on Squaw Point Road in East Gull Lake. A theft of ice was reported at Ernie’s on Gull.
Report on July 27 at 11:08 a.m. of a theft on 64th Street Southwest in rural Pequot Lakes. Firewood reportedly stolen from a yard.
Report on July 28 at 11:05 a.m. of a theft of medication in Pine River.
Lake Shore police
ARREST: Report of an arrest on Aug. 3 of a 38-year-old Lake Shore man for assault of a juvenile family member and another relative. The man was also charged with obstructing legal process for resisting arrest. Police reported the man was very intoxicated and high on methamphetamines.
CRASH: Report on July 28 of a personal injury motorcycle crash on County Road 29 near County Road 78. A witness reported the driver sustained road rash injuries, but the driver left the scene before police arrived.
INJURY: Report on Aug. 3 of an injury on Gullwood Road. Subject fell into a camp fire and suffered severe burns to their hand. They were transported by ambulance to Essentia Health.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: Report on July 30 of the vandalization of a radar speed display sign on the south end of County Road 77.
ARRESTS: Report on July 29 at 12:05 p.m. of a warrant arrest on Hillcrest Drive. A 62-year-old male was arrested on a Crow Wing County warrant for failure to appear.
Report on July 30 at 11:05 p.m. of an arrest on Clement Drive. A 39-year-old male was arrested for fifth degree domestic assault and fifth degree assault.
Report on Aug. 1 at 5:52 p.m. of a probation violation arrest on State Highway 371 and County Road 29. Officers received report of a suspicious person walking with a bike, and the 57-year-old male was subsequently arrested.
ANIMALS: Report on July 24 at 6:56 a.m. and July 27 at 11:25 p.m. of loose horses near State Highway 371 by Schaefer’s Foods. The horses belonged to Camp Lincoln and were located in both instances.
Report on July 29 at 2:20 p.m. of horses in the parking lot at Schaefer’s before opening. Officers called the owners of Camp Lincoln to advise of the numerous animal complaints.
DRUGS: Report on July 22 at 11:38 a.m. of a drug-related issue at the MN Hockey Camp involving a counselor. The counselor was fired.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Report on July 25 at 10:40 a.m. of suspicious activity at Frandsen Bank and Trust. A caller reported finding a pair of pants in the driveway, along with two screwdrivers and a tin of chew near the front door.
THEFTS: Report on July 21 at 8:13 p.m. of a theft at Grand View Lodge. Occupants reported prescription drugs and an estimated $60 in cash were taken from their room while at the pool.
Report on July 29 at 4:59 p.m. of a theft of two fish finders from a boat on State Highway 371. The boat was parked at Fritz’s Resort.
Pequot Lakes police
ANIMALS: Report on July 30 at 12:04 p.m. at the corn stand at SuperAmerica. A dog bit a child in the lip. The child was transported by a parent to the hospital.
CRASH: Report on July 31 at 11:41 a.m. of a property damage crash at the Speed Stop in Jenkins.
Report on Aug. 2 at 6:02 p.m. of a property damage crash at County Road 11 and State Highway 371. One vehicle rear-ended another at the stop light.
FIRE: Report on Aug. 4 at 10:21 a.m. of an RV fire on State Highway 371 and County Road 17. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
THEFT: Report on July 22 at 9:04 p.m. of the theft of a purse stolen from a vehicle at Sunset Cinema in Jenkins.
Report on July 28 at 1:48 p.m. of a theft at the Essentia Health clinic. Two large planters containing flowers were reported stolen.
