Wildfire burns quickly through pines near Nisswa

Nisswa Women's Club to host annual luncheon, fashion show May 27

The Nisswa Women’s Club invites all women of the Brainerd lakes area to the club’s 31st annual Fashion Show and Luncheon on Tuesday, May 27, at Madden’s Town Hall at Madden’s Resort.

Social hour and raffle will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the luncheon at noon and the fashion show at 1 p.m. The theme is “Color Us Beautiful.”

Twelve area merchants will coordinate styles, and Tess Taylor and Ken Thomas of WJJY’s “The Wake Up Show” will emcee the event.

Proceeds from the event provide local scholarship funds for area high school students, returning female students to Central Lakes College and local community services.
