New voices, faces at Faith in Action
Summer has brought new voices and new faces to Faith in Action for Cass County.
Faith in Action welcomes program coordinator Sandy Gilbertson, from the Hackensack area, and receptionist Julee Ford Young, formerly of Longville and now from the Walker area.
Gilbertson brings a wealth of experience from working with seniors at the Hackensack Senior Class and the Riverside/Good Samaritan residences in Pine River. She takes fresh chickens and loads of goodies to the local farmers markets.
Ford Young comes to Faith in Action with years of experience working with older adults and children as part of the Senior Companion and Senior Grandparent programs.
She is an avid quilter and has been a Faith in Action volunteer for several years.
Faith in Action also welcomes Kaila Forster, a summer VISTA associate who is working on an eight-week program development project that provides greater awareness of rural meal delivery programs and the opportunity to partner with local businesses to provide more chore, home maintenance and repair services.
Forster is a global business major at the College of St. Benedict and will study in China when her project here is completed.
