Moondance features newer bands, but still dedicated to classic rock
The 2013 Moondance Jam 22 featured bands that appealed to younger crowds such as Halestorm, The Offspring and Theory of a Deadman, but Jam organizers assured the audience the show is still all about classic rock.
Organizers were expecting a record crowd for the July 17-20 event due to a lineup of bands including legendary rock guitarist Slash (featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators) and Motley Crue. The event also featured returning musical groups Cheap Trick and Blue Oyster Cult.
Other performances included Johnny Rivers, Head East, Sweet, Bachman & Turner, and as many as 50 national acts spread out across the festival’s four stages.
This year’s festival also featured a tribute to Bill Bieloh and a tribute to U.S. troops.
