Concordia University, St. Paul
Concordia University, St. Paul student Jordan Voges of Pequot Lakes gave the student farewell address to fellow graduates during the university's traditional undergraduate commencement ceremony May 9.
Voges graduated with a degree in theology and a Biblical languages minor. He will continue his education at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in the fall. He was a member of Concordia University's honors program and has been active in choir, theatre, organizing evening worship services and the Theology and Ministry Club, of which he was president.
Voges and Savannah Stone of Crosslake, a junior majoring in sport psychology, were named to the Concordia University, St. Paul, spring semester dean's list.
Harvard Law School
Christopher Liedl, son of Mark Liedl, Breezy Point, and Beatrice Comty-Charnock, Nisswa, graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School. He is a 2004 graduate of Pequot Lakes High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business.
At Harvard, Liedl received the Dean's Scholar Prize for the highest grade in a course three times. He served as president of the Catholic Law Students Association, executive editor and events manager for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, and freshman proctor in Matthews Hall while also officiating NCAA Division III football.
This fall he will join the Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray as an associate in the corporate department.
St. Olaf College, Northfield
Matthew Michaelson of Pequot Lakes graduated from St. Olaf College. Michaelson is a nursing major and the son of Robert and Ann Michaelson.
Hannah Lemberg of Nisswa was named to the St. Olaf College spring semester dean's list. Lemberg is a political science major. She is a graduate of Pine River-Backus High School and the daughter of Joel and Cheri Lemberg.
College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph
Kirstie Harmdierks, daughter of Kay Johnson of Breezy Point, and Colleen Kennedy, daughter of David and Christine Kennedy of Pequot Lakes, participated in the commencement ceremony at the College of St. Benedict on May 17.
Harmdierks received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Kennedy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with the honor magna cum laude.
St. John's University, Collegeville
Aaron Padrnos, son of Dan and Sue Padrnos of Nisswa, participated in the commencement ceremony at St. John's University on May 18. Padrnos received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics.
University of Wisconsin-Superior
Jessica Waytashek of Nisswa was named to the spring semester dean's list at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Iowa State University, Ames
Nathan Lehman of Nisswa graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology.
St. Mary's University, Winona
Maria Glenski of Pequot Lakes, daughter of Susan Kathryn Blass, and Peter Kostecka, son of Chrysa Kostecka, both received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota on May 10 in Winona.
Bemidji State University
Karisa Miner of Pequot Lakes, a freshman elementary education major at Bemidji State University, received a $1,000 Student Success Scholarship from the college.
Rachel Harris of Breezy Point, a senior art and design major, received a $1,000 Johnson Controls Scholarship.
Concordia College, Moorhead

Tomas Parker of Pequot Lakes, a junior majoring in management and marketing at the University of Minnesota, Crookston, received the Justin Knebel Memorial Award at a Student Awards Program recognizing student service, leadership and academic and athletic achievement.
