Help sought in locating vehicle involved in Emily area burglary

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl is asking the public for help in locating a vehicle involved in an early morning burglary of a storage garage in Ross Lake Township southeast of Emily.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, from a citizen who had noticed a mid-1990s, dark green Chevy or GMC pickup parked in the driveway of a storage garage. As the citizen pulled into the driveway, the suspect vehicle backed up and crashed through a gate causing damage to the rear passenger side of the tailgate of the suspect vehicle. A security camera on site captured a photo of a suspect on the property earlier in the day who attempted to break through the door of the garage. The male is described as a heavier set man who was wearing khaki pants, a blue wind breaker jacket and a tan floppy hat.
Anyone with information on possible suspects or suspect vehicles is asked to contact the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office at 218-829-4749 and ask for the investigations division. Callers can remain anonymous.
