Heart & Soul V: An Evening for Women set Sept. 11 in Crosslake
Heart & Soul V, an evening of insightful information on women's heart health, will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Crosslake Lutheran Church, 35960 County Road 66 in Crosslake.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. There is no cost to attend.
Presenters and topics include:
• Cardiovascular Alphabet Soup: Dr. Jim Furda from Minneapolis Heart Institute-Baxter and Crosby will present the latest information on CTA, LVAD, MRI, TAVR, cardiovascular research and more.
• Mind, Body & Spirit of Heart Surgery: A Patient Perspective: Crosslake resident Gerry Gendreau will speak on her recent experience with heart surgery and will share her perspective on the mind/body/spirit connection to her recovery.
• How To Be 7% Happier: Crosslake Lutheran Church parish nurse Gail Smith will take an insightful look at the role of laughter in our lives and how to live mindfully in the present moment. She will share tips on overcoming barriers to experience more happiness in our lives.
