Crosswoods Men's League
Game of the day June 26 was "cha-cha-cha" in Crosswoods Men's League action. Nick Loscheider was player of the day with an overall low net score of 62. Jay Wiltrout had the individual low net on the front nine with 29, and Loscheider on the back nine with 28.
Taking first on the front nine was the team of Ralph Lewis, Dave Schrupp, Jim Ritter and Paul Hamling. The team of Jerry Martin, Ron Langer, Palmer Sorensen and Pat McAlpine placed first on the back nine.
The team of Dan Schlapkohl, David Barnes, Gary Villella and David Branum finished second on both the front and back nines.
Daniel Davis and Lewis were closest to the pin. Villella and Roger Weis had the longest putts. Sorensen and Don Rother had chip-ins for birdies.
On June 24, game of the day was "two best balls of four." Chet Herrboldt had the overall low net of 64 for player of the day honors. Don Miller had the individual low net on the front nine with 28, and Schrupp on the back nine with 29.
The team of Branum, Dale Stevens, Roger Coult and Jay Frane placed first on the front nine, and the team of Wiltrout, Rother, Ritter and Ray Elie was first on the back nine.
Taking second on the front nine was John Jensen, Don Miller, Bob Johnson and Mike Green; and placing second on the back nine was Schrupp, Doug Steck, Bob Hinkley and Ken Olsen.
Branum and Ritter were closest to the pin. Steve Laak and Langer had the longest putts. Chip-ins for birdies went to Randy Kraft, Dick Sletten, Pat Arens and Loscheider.
New members are welcome at 7 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Crosswoods Women's 18-Hole
Game of the day June 25 was "individual low net and individual low gross." Dee Dee Johnson took first and Tracey Nelson was second for low net, and both women tied for first for low gross, followed by Ardis Thompson in second.
Low putts went to Cheryl Tiggelar and Johnson. Pat Oleson, Beryl Roe, Tiggelar, Johnson and Nelson had birdies. Oleson also had a chip-in.
Crosswoods Women's 9-Hole
Game of the day June 23 was "individual low net and individual low gross." Joey Hodgeson took first and Tracey Nelson was second for low gross. Judy Hein placed first and Dee Dee Johnson and Lila Kersey tied for second for low net.
Hein, Johnson and Judy Nicholas had birdies. Nancy Meineke had a chip-in.
Whitefish Men's League
The Whitefish Men's League held a 2X4 event June 24, in which each foursome counted four net balls on holes 1, 9, 10 and 18 with the two best net scores on remaining holes.
Taking first was the foursome of Todd Wordelman, Dale Fransen, Steve Holubar and Richard Gady; second, Erlin Johnson, Bob Beatty, Greg Johnson and Henry Duitsman; and third, Darrell Swanson, Hugh Wooldridge, Bob McKee and Joe Fetter.
Closest to the pin went to Paul Schmidt and John Larsen. Longest putt went to Scott Thompson and Neil McEwen.
The Whitefish Golf Club Men's League is open to the public and new members are welcome. The 18-hole Men's League plays every Tuesday morning through September and you can join at any time during the season. Those interested should contact the Whitefish Pro Shop at 218-543-4900.
Whitefish Women 18-Hole
Cathy Munger of Whitefish and Jean Collins of Rum River Hills shot a net 60 to capture flight A of the June 25 Northwoods Classic at Whitefish Golf Club.
Sherrie Adams and Susan Walstrom, who also shot 60, but lost the tiebreaker, placed second.
Sandy Secora and Diann Howell of Tianna in Walker shot net 63 to win flight B. The Whitefish duo of Nancy Schmidt and Roxie Thompson shot 65 for second.
Maxine Riches and Shari Loechler of Whitefish won flight C by one stroke over Breezy Point Resort's Leesha Flanagan and Ruth Tiedeman.
Char Grafstrom and Kay Ekberg of Tianna shot 63 to win flight D with fellow Tianna players Kathy Green and Bonnie Isaacson placing second.
Bev Novak and Joyce Danforth needed a tiebreaker to win flight E over Steph Wordelman and Nancy Carlson.
Black Bear's Eileen Springer and Cathy Switajewski won flight F with Bev Pearson (Monticello) and Ruth Marschinke (Pheasant Acres) finishing second.
Closest to the line went to Isaacson and Riches. Munger and Pat McKee of Ridgewood were closest to the pin in two with McKee also draining the longest putt.
Whitefish Women 9-Hole
Game of the day June 26 was "secret throw away hole," where golfers added their net scores and deducted the net score on the "secret hole" (No. 13). The secret hole was revealed at the end of the round and chosen by an employee at the Whitefish Golf Club.
Winners with the lowest net scores were: first, Mary Scarborough with a game net score of 29; second, Gini Moberg with a game net score of 30; and third, Vicki Dypwick with a game net score of 31.
Connie Foster had a chip-in; Karen Loben had low putts. Low nine-hole net score went to Moberg with a net score total of 35.

Breezy Point Men's League
Billy's 2 used a 10.5-9.5 victory over Thomas & Severson Law 2 June 26 to build a 1.5-point lead in the Breezy Point Resort Men's League.
Dirt Busters pounded Commander 13-7 to stay within striking distance.

Sandy O'Day, Judy Thomas, Janie Pommer and Patty Carlyle captured the June 26 event on Whitebirch during the Breezy Point Resort Women's League.
Sue Marsolais, Jean Appleton, Bugs Schmidt and Chris Bjornson tied the team of Cathy Johnson, Eileen Henderson and Gloria Thomas for second place.
Verna Miller, Judi Moravec, Betty Huseby and Ellen Koshenina finished third.
Black Bear League
Cathy Switajewski shot a 33 to win the low net game of the week during the Black Bear women's nine-hole league. Mary Lou Jacobs finished second.
Eileen Springer was closest to the pin and Lila Kersey recorded the low putts with 15. Gloria Taylor sank a chip-in.

First, Mike Oelrich, Tim Donnay, Cy Kruse and Jim Shallman; second, Dick Hubbard, Roger Brekken, Al Schewe and Ron Germann; third, Bob Elliott, Pete Ziegler, Gordy Holmgren and Dick Blevins; fourth, Bill Dehnert, Jerry Hagel, Milt Spieler and Bruce Nelson.
Nelson, Blevins and Hagel were closest to the pin; Germann had the longest putt and an eagle; and Shallman had a chip-in.
Tuesday Morning Back 9 League, 10:30 a.m.
First, Blevins, Oelrich and Bob Ecklund.
Wednesday Night Women's League
Play of the day was "lowest score on even holes. Winners were Becky Guida, Jane McKinley, Eileen Jensen, Carol Germann, Nancy Kruse, Donna Larson and Cheri Luc.
Karolyn Latterelle had a chip-in.
Thursday Morning Women's League, 9 a.m.
Play of the day was "total score on the par 3s." Winners were Muggs Ziegler, Germann, Jensen and Karla Blevins.
Holes in one
Terri Foss of Maple Grove aced the 91-yard sixth hole at Crosswoods Golf Course in Crosslake on Thursday, June 26, using a 7-iron.
Dave Stark, Nisswa, aced the 116-yard 11th hole at Eagle's Landing June 23 using a wedge.
Melissa Anderson, Eagan, aced the 123-yard fourth hole of the Social Nine at Madden's Resort June 20 using a 5-wood.
Tim Trott, Nisswa, recorded his 27th career ace on the 127-yard seventh hole of the Par 3 Course at Cragun's Legacy Courses June 29 using a pitching wedge.
