The Lake Country Echo is a weekly newspaper covering northern Crow Wing County, including the cities of Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, Nisswa, Lake Shore, East Gull Lake, Crosslake, Fifty Lakes, Emily, Jenkins and the surrounding area. The Pine River Journal is a weekly newspaper covering Pine River, Backus, Jenkins, Hackensack and the surrounding area. The Journal was first published in 1935 and has a paid circulation of 1,235.

The newly combined Echoland - Piper Shopper is the leading free shopper publication in the Lake Country with an annual average circulation over 25,517 copies.
