Mobile GIS map now available for Crow Wing County residents
A mobile version of the GIS Map is now available for Crow Wing County residents.
The desktop version of this map helps residents quickly search property information throughout Crow Wing County. Users can easily find property owners and addresses, property values and legal descriptions, and view the 2016 aerial photo. Residents can also access their plat, recorded permits and tax statements.
This map has the same capabilities of the desktop version and now functions on phones and tablets.
"Enjoy the convenience of this application while on the go," said GIS Coordinator Nate Rose. "The application was developed to be simple to navigate as well as accessible and applicable. It provides a wealth of GIS information that can be leveraged by businesses as well as the public. We are excited to make this available to everyone who is interested in acquiring information in Crow Wing County."
This is Crow Wing County's first mobile application that can provide this much information. The GIS Map also includes the ability to locate trails, flood plains, soils, septic information and boat accesses.
"The introduction of the new mobile GIS capability is a welcomed achievement for our business," said Scott Quick, of DH Docks in Nisswa. "As a regular user of the desktop version, we refer to the GIS system in identifying lake home customers and properties throughout Crow Wing County with our service work. The new mobile application makes this GIS tool that much better by now using it easily in the field."
