Walker company produces unique ornaments for Capitol Christmas Tree
In conjunction with the 2014 national Capitol Christmas Tree, Next Innovations of Walker was selected to produce 1,000 artistic quality, vibrant, color-infused, steel tree ornaments.
The ornaments will be used to help raise donations to off-set expenses related to the tree's placement on the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C. The image infused on the 4-inch steel oval ornament commemorates and celebrates the origins of the 88-foot white spruce tree.
This ornament with an eagle circling a decorated Christmas tree with the Capitol dome in the background recognizes the region's cultural heritage and role of the Chippewa National Forest, where the tree came from, and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe in making this year's "The People's Tree" event memorable.
"Our employees were excited to be able to demonstrate their meticulous skills in re-creating this 2014 Capitol Christmas Tree image with all its intricate colored details on a steel medium," said Arnold Volker, president of Next Innovations. "It is a high quality, U.S. made commemorative and we were honored to have a role in supporting this once-in-a-generation event for our north central Minnesota region and our country."
This ornament was commissioned by Choose Outdoors, coordinator of many events related to The People's Tree in cooperation with the Chippewa National Forest and Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
