The Hooves, Paws and Claws 4-H Club received $5,400 from Houston Ford in Pine River, which the club raised through a July 26 Drive 4 UR Community event where Ford Motor Company agreed to donate $10 to a local organization for every test drive.

The 4-H club may use those funds to pay for educational experiences for kids, which could include camp tuition, hands-on building projects and other learning opportunities.

"We are going to use it for a lot of our community service projects. Or scholarships for kids for different activities. Some work at the fairgrounds. Some things we can work on and have learning service projects is what we have to use the money for," said Teri McAllister, 4-H coordinator for this event.

In 2013, the Drive 4 UR Community fundraiser for Hooves, Paws and Claws raised $5,100.
